Greg and Rose’s Bathroom
This bathroom was part of a master suite addition. The room features hydronic (hot water) piping beneath the tile and hardwood floors that provides even heat while keeping your feet warm. The bathroom incorporates porcelain tiles that simulate the look of slate but are more practical because they are less porous and more stain resistant. Durable Silestone (man-made quartz) countertops and window sills complement the floors and cabinetry. A desk-like area in the cabinet accommodates the future use of wheelchairs or other seating aids, and a custom European barrier-free tile shower with dual controls and shower heads allows two people to shower at the same time. We also widened the doorway to provide wheelchair access.
Dave and Sarah’s Bathroom
The spectacular transformation of this Corvallis bathroom was featured in Corvallis designer Deborah Kadas’ book. We installed a claw foot tub into a new alcove to match the vintage décor, and completely rebuilt the shower, which had previously been unusable. The upgraded lighting includes both recessed lights and traditional sconces. Tile and wood wainscot paneling complete the makeover.

Anne and Timothy’s Bathroom
The owners asked us to find a way to increase the size of their small Philomath bathroom. We accomplished this by adding a two-foot addition for a larger walk-in shower and the new sink and locally-built cabinets. For visual openness, the shower and sink are separated by a short pony wall and glass splash panel. Anne and Timothy were delighted with the fine tile workmanship and custom granite countertop. On our suggestion, the remodel included an instantaneous water heater to eliminate the delay before hot water reached the bathroom from the home’s hot water tank.
John and Bea’s Master Bathroom
The master bathroom in John and Bea’s new home takes advantage of new construction’s design flexibility. Their architect, Don Livingstone, brought the home’s tall ceilings down to an intimate level by adding a barrel vaulted ceiling. Next, we complemented the ceiling’s curves by adding a curved glass block wall with a stained concrete cap. The European style (barrier-free entry) shower was built with custom tile and glass tile accents. Environmentally friendly cabinetry was special ordered from Neil Kelly cabinets, and topped with an Eco by Cosentino recycled material countertop with a matching window sill. An inset glass tile frame surrounds the mirrors, and a solar hot water system reduces energy usage.
Debby and Glen’s Bathroom
We gave this Corvallis bathroom a cosmetic makeover. We replaced the existing sink, countertop, lighting, flooring, windows, and fiberglass shower. A new cultured marble shower was installed, with a matching marble countertop over custom cabinets with shaker cabinet doors. Debby and Glen selected a Forbo marmoleum floor, a certified sustainable product with natural antimicrobial properties. We also replaced their old toilet and shower head with new low flow models to reduce water consumption.
