Recently, I took our new camera out to photograph Rick and Cynthia’s sunroom addition in the evening. The lighting and ambiance of this room is spectacular. As the evening progresses, the atmosphere created by the pathway lighting, interior sconces, hot tub and exterior lighting changes from a bright outdoor daylight room to a colorful cozy indoor space. Please e-mail or call us if you would like information on how we can add a sunroom to your home. Carl at 541-754-6326.

Here are some details about their project that we have posted on our decks and patios page:

Bring the outdoors and sunshine into your home. We recently completed a spectacularly beautiful sunroom for Richard and Cynthia. We worked previously with Cynthia on her business and because of our relationship, she felt comfortable asking us to build their Corvallis sunroom. The inspiration for this project came from the desire to have the ambiance of an outdoor hot tub, but without Corvallis’ cold wet weather.

The sunroom adds a warm, bright 325 square feet just outside their kitchen and living room. This is the perfect addition if you are suffering from Corvallis’ cloud cover.  The vibrant hues of the stained and finished Douglas fir glulam beams complement the beauty of the outdoors. These beams support the glass roof.  In addition, the sunroom includes two operable skylights, a nine foot wide bifold door, a full glass roof system and full glass walls.

Westview Sunrooms (the manufacturer) has a number of other beautiful ideas on their site:  http://www.westviewproducts.com/pictures.html We would love the opportunity to build for you.

I love how that sunroom turned out! Although I can’t afford adding a new sunroom to my home, I am trying to make small improvements. What are your thoughts on perhaps adding something like new shutters? Trying to enhance the appearance without spending too much money.

Brandon, new shutters would probably look nice in your home. I don’t know if they would impact your home value much, but they would certainly provide some privacy and keep out some of the summer heat in your south facing windows.
