Corvallis Deck Additions
Decks are a wonderful way to extend the living space of your home to the outdoors. In an area as beautiful and temperate as the Willamette Valley, this is a great way to increase your living space. Our carpenters are very skilled at fixing or replacing damaged decks. We can build covered decks for spring and fall time use and screened in porches to keep the insects out during summer.
Our company can build a patio to maximize your outdoor activities. For example, we just recently finished an outdoor kitchen with built-in BBQ, sink and granite countertops. We also install decorative gates, fencing, handrails, walkway pavers, brick paths, concrete walks, stamped and colored concrete patios.
A properly designed deck, patio or handrail can provide a great way for all people (even people with mobility issues) to enjoy the outdoors.
Surin and Sunita’s deck
This decking project involved replacing a deteriorating cedar deck. There were numerous complications beneath the deck which were not visible. We discovered that the foundation needed drainage and fixed it prior to deck framing. The owner chose a composite deck material for its durability and minimal maintenance. We were able to cut the stair treads in around the rock landscaping at the corner. Our crews installed pavers on the outside of the lower deck to make the transition to the lawn.
Randy and Sabra’s Deck
Randy and Sabra asked us to add a new deck to complement their edgeless pool. The architect’s design called for a multilevel deck with views for entertaining and provide access to the swimming pool and yard. We added dry storage underneath the deck to contain the boilers for heating the swimming pool and lawn furniture. The deck surface was “Correctdeck” composite decking. Randy asked us to build the deck pergola (the brown structure above, that provides shading for the windows). After this picture was taken we added powder coated steel handrails along the stairs. In addition, we resided this house, installed new windows, built a craftsman style entry, and re-roofed.

Becky and Sam’s Patio and Deck
This deck and patio area involved removal of an existing deteriorated cedar deck. New pressure treated lumber and AZEC decking was installed for the deck surface. Stamped concrete stairs tie the upper yard area down to the lower yard. We added terraces in the lawn. Custom powder coated gates and railings were installed around the perimeter of the deck and the retaining wall. In addition, we built a new concrete stairs and walkway from the street to the front door.
Bob and Lori’s Outdoor Kitchen
Bob and Lori asked us to build an outdoor kitchen for summertime entertaining. We constructed the peninsula out of split faced masonry blocks topped with a granite slab for the countertop. Our crew installed a built-in gas barbeque with a separate side burner. Visible in the center of the picture is a chef’s high output gas grill. We designed and fabricated custom stainless steel cabinets and drawers below the countertop to store cooking utensils. The patio surface was made with exposed aggregate concrete.
Laurie and Patrick’s Deck
On this project we removed a failing wood deck and replaced it with a great outdoor living area. Our design called for enlarging the existing deck in the back yard, removing and replacing all of the old deck, building a new stamped concrete patio in the back yard and installing a outdoor fireplace. We recommended TimberTech composite decking because of its durability and color selection. The deck edge and railing can be viewed in this picture. The railing system is TimberTech’s composite railing with lighting caps. We utilized low voltage lighting which is visible as the translucent strip beneath the post caps. All of the deck brackets were powder coated to match the handrail. You would be impressed by how elegant the lighting looks in the evening.
Rick and Cynthia’s Sunroom
Bring the outdoors and sunshine into your home. We recently completed a spectacularly beautiful sunroom for Richard and Cynthia. We worked previously with Cynthia on her business and because of our relationship, she felt comfortable asking us to build this Corvallis sunroom. The inspiration for this project came from the desire to have the ambiance of an outdoor hot tub, but without Corvallis’ cold wet weather.
The sunroom adds a warm, bright 325 square feet just outside their kitchen and living room. This is the perfect addition if you are suffering from Corvallis’ cloud cover. One of the charms of the sunroom are the stained and finished Douglas fir glulam beams. These beams support the glass roof. In addition, the sunroom includes two operable skylights, a nine foot wide bifold door, a full glass roof system and full glass walls.
