Master Suite Addition

Age-in-Place, in the home (and neighborhood) you love

We designed Paul and Doris' new Master Suite Addition to allow them to stay in their two-story home, but move the master bedroom and bathroom to an accessible space on the first floor. Two years ago, with this plan in mind, we remodeled their kitchen and added a maintenance free aluminum deck. Then we created a design that integrates the laundry room, exterior appearance and interior "flow" of the home. The new bedroom addition is spacious with a vaulted ceilings and large windows with views of the evening's sunset. In the bathroom we included a large soaking tub, beautiful marmoleum floors, an accessible custom tile shower with no curb, and a customized Silestone makeup counter.

“G. Christianson Construction did a wonderful job of remodeling our kitchen and family room in 2011. The Christianson workers and all of the subcontractors did excellent work and were a pleasure to work with. This summer they are adding a new ground floor bedroom suite...”

Personalized lighting makes the room truly yours

The lighting in a home changes the mood of a room just as it does the perceived size of a room. Placement and light selection are an often overlooked aspects of interior design. We often work with Kristine at Radiance by Design, she has an exceptional ability to listen to how you utilize the room, and then she suggests just the right combination of decorative, ambiance and task lighting.

“Larry's cedar deck had reached the end of it's life, the handrails were literally falling off. We rejuvenated it with new Trex and were able to reuse the tall telephone poles that support it. ”
