Rose's Deck
The wife of G. Christianson's founder Greg Christianson, wanted a space at her home that enhanced the beauty of her land and provided a functional area for entertaining guests. We replaced her back deck for safety, added an accessible concrete patio to her front yard that provided access to her landscape and garden, and added fencing to discourage the deer. With guidance by Kristine Jensen at Radiance By Design, we integrated landscape lighting design into the concrete work and landscape to highlight the same beauty at night.
Project details
Concrete Bench Walls
These arched concrete bench walls create a level backyard entertaining space under the shelter of the mature Beech tree. The bench doubles as a retaining wall and creates the feeling of different outdoor spaces through varying levels, and highlights great focal points with seating to entertain guests.
Screened Porch
The screened porch is perfect for enjoying all seasons of the Pacific Northwest weather year-round. The large glass windows enhance the viewing of the beautiful yard and bird watching while providing protection from unwanted insects and long exposure to UV rays. Summertime screens (and large overhangs) keep the temperature comfortable.
TimberTech Decking
TimberTech features high-performance PVC capped technology which delivers powerful resistance to moisture damage, mold, rot, and swelling. Its slip resistant surface is safe and the material protects against UV discoloration and damage. Furthermore, the deck will last decades and requires hardly any maintenance.
