Corvallis Deck Dryrot

One of our friends noticed the main beam of a neighbor’s deck in Corvallis was sagging. I came out to take a look at it and by using a probe, found the beam was almost completely rotten. That afternoon, I priced out the cost to replace the beam and e-mailed a contract to the homeowner. After discussing it with her we decided that it would be best to replace it this month, before it failed. We ordered a new pressure treated glulam and outdoor wood posts and started installing them today. It turns out the beam was even worse than it looked from the outside.
