Laurie and Scott’s Bathroom Remodel Completed

Carl Christianson

We recently completed a bathroom remodel for a Corvallis couple we know.  Laurie and Scott’s main goal was to completely update their aging 2nd bathroom in their 1950’s home.

First we tested the old vinyl floor tiles for asbestos, unfortunately they were positive, so we hired a local asbestos abatement company and had them removed safely. Then we removed the original undersized tub. We borrowed some space from the hallway closet by modifying the framing and then installed a new tub. Glass tile was applied above the tub to the ceiling and a matching tile backsplash was installed around the sink.

We built new white painted cabinets capped with a new soapstone countertop and an undermounted sink replaced the existing sink.  A new custom recessed medicine cabinet complements the cabinetry. The electrical, plumbing, insulation and drywall were also replaced.  Narrow reed glass was used in the new exterior window for privacy and a new obscure glass bathroom door gave the room a clean bright look and brings daylight into the hallway.

Laurie and Scott were so impressed with our work, they just hired us to replace their back porch canopy.

Please call us if your bathroom needs an update. We would love to help.
