Home Remodeling FAQs

As a local design-build contractor, G. Christianson Construction unifies architectural design, estimating and construction under one roof. Our integrated design-build approach pairs dedicated project management, designers and master craftsmen with an in-house cabinet shop — giving you a single point of accountability from initial concept to final walkthrough. This seamless process keeps your vision aligned with real-world construction costs while ensuring long-term durability.
Our team uses a structured design process starting with a Professional Services Agreement (PSA). Early in the design phase, our estimator performs a Cost Analysis to run preliminary numbers on your proposed layout, fixtures and finishes. We then evaluate structural conditions, finalize material selections and complete detailed construction drawings before breaking ground — giving you transparent, predictable pricing before construction begins.
It depends on the scope and location of the work. For targeted kitchen or bath renovations, many homeowners stay in the house while our team seals off construction zones to minimize dust. For extensive multi-room or structural remodels, temporary relocation is often safer and allows construction to progress faster.

Every home and remodeling project brings unique considerations. If you didn’t find the answer you were looking for here, explore our full FAQ page or reach out to our team directly to discuss your project’s specific needs.
