Witham Village Footbridge

Witham Village Footbridge

Witham Village Apartments approached us to replace their old footbridge connecting the different sides of the complex because it was falling into the Creek. Their management team was looking for a local contractor to tackle this complicated project. Project Superintendent Jon, Production Manager Ben, and GCCI crew members Jerry and Nate constructed a footbridge over the creek, with the help of MSS Engineering and several governmental agencies, that minimized the impact on the surrounding environment in a cost-effective way. This project is not only safe and functional but also a great marketing piece for their business!

“G Christianson Construction were responsive, timely, and effective throughout the process. Our project was more challenging than most as it was the construction of a footbridge across Dixon Creek. I highly recommend Jon and his team to you!”

Project Details

Under-Rail Lighting

Lighting was added just below the handrail to improve the curb appeal and for safety when using the bridge after the sun goes down.

Abutment CLSM Footings

Abutment CLSM 57" x 24" x 96" Footings were used to prevent the bridge from deteriorating the bank like the previous footbridge.

Durable Materials

Pressure-treated glulam beams, pressure-treated lumber, composite decking, and matching composite handrails were used to ensure the best longevity.

“We asked Christianson to design and build an entertainment center, a built in bookshelf and a built in desk and credenza. Designer Elizabeth captured our concept and turned it into a beautiful design plan. Ron at the cabinet shop came up with ideas for materials we would have never thought of. All the guys in the cabinet shop got excited about our project and we could tell we were in the hands of skilled craftsman. Jon kept us informed of the timing of construction throughout the project. They truly customized the space and the overall product exceeded our expectations.”
