What began as a troublesome shower leak evolved into a complete bathroom transformation, blending elevated design with smart, long-term functionality.
To give this home a fresh start, our team cleared out the tub surround, old flooring and tile work. In their place, we introduced a high-end material palette designed to make the room feel broader, brighter and more relaxing.
A striking black herringbone tile layout now flows across the entire bathroom floor. Instead of stopping at a raised shower ledge, the herringbone tile continues straight into the walk-in shower. This “curbless” design removes the traditional threshold step entirely, creating a seamless transition that looks ultra-modern while eliminating trip hazards for lifelong accessibility.

Inside the shower, Carrara marble wall tiles create a clean, light-filled backdrop. To add depth and visual texture, we built a dramatic feature wall using an intricate basketweave accent tile, repeating that same detail in the custom storage niches for a polished look.
We engineered the shower to deliver a true daily spa experience:
- Hydrotherapy Systems: A wall-mounted rain showerhead paired with three targeted body sprays for ultimate relaxation.
- Custom Granite Bench: A solid granite bench with a smooth waterfall edge, paired with a flexible handheld shower wand for effortless comfort while seated.
- Durable Storage: An oversized recessed niche framed with a solid granite shelf that stands up to daily moisture while adding a touch of refinement.

True luxury lies in how a space functions any day of the week. Every element of this bathroom was designed to make daily routines easier and safer:
- Smart Temperature Control: We placed the primary shower controls right at the shower entrance rather than under the showerhead. Homeowners can reach in, turn on the water and adjust the temperature before ever setting a foot inside.
- Integrated Shaving Niche: We built a low-profile, dedicated shaving niche directly into the lower wall, finished in matching basketweave tile.
- Invisible Drainage: Within the curbless shower, the floor tile is subtly sloped toward a sleek linear drain set against the back wall, keeping water moving smoothly while maintaining a clean, smooth floor plane.
A fresh coat of paint completed the project, softening old blue tones with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The result is a bathroom that successfully combines high-end style and complete accessibility.
